RITUALS ( Open To All )

Weekly Rituals

A simplified ritual will take place in the Summerlands Stone Circle most Saturday mornings at 7 am (May through September) and at 9 am (October through April) except for High Days and the Sumbel. This is followed by a potluck and the Grove Dedicant Program study which takes place in the Meeting Hall at Summerlands. All are welcome.

On the following dates the morning ritual will be followed by a Grove business meeting. NO DEDICANT PROGRAM STUDY will take place on these days:

  • January 14, 2006
  • February 11, 2006
  • March 11, 2006
  • April 8, 2006
  • May 13, 2006
  • June 10, 2006

High Day Rituals

Our High Day Rituals usually take place on the Saturday nearest to the actual High Day, usually in the evening. Time given is for the Pre-ritual Briefing.

  • Imbolc - February 4, 2006 - Summerlands Stone Circle, 5:00 pm - Gate opens at 3:30 pm. No morning ritual or Dedicant Program study. This will be an Irish Pantheon Rite with all female celebrants.
  • Alban Eilir (Spring Equinox, Ostara) - March 18, 2006 - Summerlands Stone Circle, 5:30 pm - Gate opens at 4:00 pm. No morning ritual or Dedicant Program study. This will be a Welsh Pantheon Rite.
  • Beltane - April 29, 2006 - Summerlands Stone Circle, 6:00 pm - Gate opens at 4:30 pm. No morning ritual or Dedicant Program study. This will be a Scottish Pantheon Rite.
  • Midsummer (Summer Solstice, Litha) - June 24, 2006 - Summerlands Stone Circle, 6:30 pm - Gate opens at 3:30 pm. No morning ritual or Dedicant Program study. This will be a Gaulish Pantheon Rite.
  • Lughnasadh - July 29, 2006 - Catalina State Park, 6:30 pm - Gates open at 4:30 pm. No morning ritual or Dedicant Program study. This will be an Irish Pantheon Rite with all male celebrants.
  • Alban Elfed (Autumn Equinox, Mabon) - September 23, 2006 - Reid Park, 5:15 pm - No morning ritual or Dedicant Program study. This will be a Welsh Pantheon Rite.
  • Samhain - October 28, 2006 - Summerlands Stone Circle, 4:30 pm. Gate opens at 3:00 pm. No morning ritual or Dedicant Program study. This will be an Irish Pantheon Rite.
  • Alban Arthan (Winter Solstice, Yule) - December 23, 2006 - Summerlands Stone Circle, 4:30 pm - Gate opens at 3:00 pm. No morning ritual or Dedicant Program study. This will be a Welsh Pantheon Rite.

Grove-Only Events

Grove Liturgical Weekend

April 7 - 9, 2006

This is a weekend of fun, learning and spiritual retreat. This class is required at least one time for all Celebrants.

Cernunnia - Sumbel - Annual Meeting

This will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2006 at 7pm - Every year, the Grove holds a Sumbel with its annual meeting on the Feast of Cernunnos. This is a ritual set within a feast. There are boasts, oaths and toasts. The annual Grove elections are also held. SSG Members only.

GENERAL BUSINESS MEETINGS
& New Member Outreach and Ritual Rehearsals (Info)

All meetings at Bookman's are for New Member Outreach. Come on down and get to know us! We will be talking about Druidry, magic, religion, etc.! We meet on the first Wednesday of each month at 7 pm.

We are changing our venue. No meeting in January, 2006.

Business Meetings take place at Summerlands right after the Saturday morning ritual on the second Saturday of the month.

GROVE GUILD & DEDICANT PROGRAM MEETINGS (Info)

Currently, Guild members meet at their homes at mutually convenient times. Check with a Guild member for times and places.

The new formal Dedicant Program is taking place just after the Saturday morning rituals at about 9 am at Summerlands unless it is a High Day or a Business Meeting day.

RILLITO RIVER WALK CLEAN-UP DATES

All River Walk mornings usually take place on the second and fourth Sundays of the month and are preceded by coffee at Mark & Julian's, 1335 W. Knox (6 am May - September, 7 am October and April, 8 am November - March) and followed by breakfast at Old Times Café on Prince Rd. Call 331-3157 for more info.
