A Norse Rite for the Dark Elves |

In early December, the Grove held a Norse Rite for Yule, celebrating the Dark Elves.
As this was our first Norse Rite, it was only open to Grove members, and Modig, from Awen's
Breath Grove in Los Angeles led the rite, with our own Dennis as Sacrificer. Other Awen's Breath
member, Jack and Elizabeth Richards, joined us, as well as Rising Phoenix Grove member Linda Costello.
The magic working for this rite was the creation of an Elf Mill for the consecration of jewelry, weapons
and anything else made of materials from out of the earth. Each person attending brought a stone which
was placed into a pile. Then, the items to be consecrated were put on the Elf Mill, and Modig blessed
them with an offering of milk and honey.
