Muin Mound Madness 2007

A Great Festival Returns!

After an absence of three years, Muin Mound Madness returned this summer with a bang! Organized by Muin
Mound Grove in Syracuse, New York, this year's festival featured workshops, Warrior Games and an
honest-to-Gods pig roast!

Rev. Sue Parker taught her workshop on Indo-European goddesses, Kirk did his on the nature of sacrifice,
and Skip did his workshop on dragons, fairies and giants. Aethon Tobar, current Warrior Games Champion at the
national games at Wellspring, organized these games and took part in the judging.

The pig roast was a first for most of us. A fire was laid on top of rocks placed in the bottom of a hole. The pig
was wrapped in banana leaves and material, wetted down, and then buried in the hole on top of the coals and
hot rocks. The next day, we dug up the pig and the feast began!
