Lughnasadh, 2003

Our Lughnasadh Ritual this year had 41 attendees. This seems to be the average number of people we get anymore. We invoked the God Lugh and Goddess Macha this year and married Him to Her as Goddess of Sovereignity. The Grove also surprised Kirk by crowning him "King of the Land" and Protector of the Stone Circle. They also gave him a torc to wear.

The Procession.

Greenvie, as Druid 1, purifies Michele after she has appeased the Outdwellers.

Greenvie and Don (out of picture to right) cense and asperse the People as they enter the Sacred Precinct.

The People continue processing to the Henge.

Gorden censes the image of the Goddess during Her invocation.	Greenvie invokes Macha while Don prepares to offer Her Irish whiskey to the Fire.	Don holds the Sharing Wreath during the Praise Offering section of the ritual.	Kirk wears the Wheat Crown given him as "King of the Land" and Protector of the Stone Circle.
