This year, for the first time, the women of the Grove celebrated Imbolc without male participation.

The night before the Festival, they ceremonially lit the fire and then stood vigil all through the night and the next day. It was a very spiritual time for them.

When time came for the rite, Julian Greene, as the Orator (Druid 1) led the women in Procession, all dressed in white robes and carrying banners and lanterns in which candles burned.

They sang a hymn to Brigit as they processed:

Brid, bright Lady
We restore your sacred fire.
Brid, bright Lady
It's Your wisdom we desire.
Brid, bright Lady
Healer, Inspiration, Friend,
Brid, bright Lady
We return to You again.

We had 72 people attend this year and the ritual went very well. Congratulations to the women of Sonoran Sunrise Grove, ADF!
