Alban Eilir 2006

The Feast of Rhiannon and Pwyll

The weather was windy with a chance of rain this year, which cut down on our attendance, but we still had
nearly 40 people. Alban Eilir is the Feast of Rhiannon and her husband Pwyll, Lord of Annwfn, and this year we
performed a playlet for the Story in the Bardic Inspiration portion of the rite based on events in the First Branch
of the Mabinogi.

Kirk was the Orator, Monica was the Sacrificer, Nora was the Seer, Arlene was the Bard, Gannd was the Warrior and the Sanctifiers were Jon and Robert.

For the Play, Rhiannon's Triumph, the cast included Kirk as Pwyll, Andrea as Rhiannon, Gannd as the Lord Chamberlain, Nora and Monica as the Ladies in Waiting, Ben as Lord Teyrnon, Arlene as Lady Teyrnon and Robert as Pryderi. Robert also played the Giant Claw.
