  1. Present were Gannd, Kirk, Arlene, Michele, Fiona, Tissha and Gordon.
  2. Pursewarden's Report.
    1. Arlene reported that we have $195.86.
      1. Petty Cash - $101.70
      2. Checkbook - $94.16
    2. Motion: We will deposit $100 of our Petty Cash into the checking account. Motion approved.
    3. Motion: SSG will pay the $15 ADF Membership Fee for Morgan as she is unable to pay at this time. Motion approved.
    4. Gannd has donated the $15 for Morgan's ADF Membership Fee.
  3. New Business
    1. Rillito River Walk Participation (was Grove Public Outreach)
      1. We are required to clean up the area twice a month but so far we have only managed once a month.
      2. We will meet on Saturday, August 30 at 8am at Greenvie's house.
    2. Pagan Pride - Pagan Pride was cancelled this year.
    3. Fall Fest. September 27, 2003.
      1. We need to have people man the SSG table. Fiona reported that she will have a table there for her business and so can watch our table if it is next to hers.
    4. Dedicant Robes. Gannd reported that Chivalry Sports is going to discontinue the Dedicant Robes that so many of us wear. Gannd can get them at 20% off or more while they last.

      1. Methodology:
        The Celtic Tree Oracle, a System of Divination by Liz and Colin Murray
        In the divination I requested that the Kindreds guide my interpretations in relation to the Grove as a whole.
      2. Past: IVY: GORT
        Meaning: The spiral of the self, the search for self Interpretation: We have been a learning Grove, in search of a basic working identity and helping our members in their search for self fulfillment while trying to keep an ADF cohesiveness and public forum. A good omen relating to our the past. It shows what we have done.
      3. Present: OAK: DUIR
        Meaning: Solid protection; doorway to the mysteries, strength
        Interpretation: The Grove has built a solid foundation of people, rituals, community with open communication. We are at a gateway of learning the deeper mysteries of Druidry together. A good omen I believe as to where the Grove is at currently.
      4. Future: HEATHER: UR
        Meaning: Links to the inner self, all heal
        Interpretation: A fairly positive omen for the future that I have taken to mean that our Grove and the membership will continue to delve in their inner selves and workings and participate in the healing that all Groves continually face in the day to day conflicts that arise as our membership grows. The strengthening of these inner links will increase the abilities of the members to participate more fully with the Grove activities by having more personal confidence and strength.

    2. The ritual will take place at the Summerlands Stone Circle at 5pm on November 1, 2003. Gate opens at 4pm. This will be an Irish pantheon rite.

    1. Annual Meeting - Sumbel - Saturday, October 11, 2003
      1. We will be holding a Sumbel for our meeting on Saturday, October 11, 2003 at Summerlands. We will elect our officers for the coming year. A Sumbel is a combined ritual and party in the Norse tradition. It will take place indoors and will include oaths, toasts and boasts.

      1. Full Moon Ritual - Wednesday, September 10 at Kirk and Steve's house. This will be an experimental ritual where the participants will ad-lib certain parts.
      2. Autumn Equinox - September 20, 2003 - Summerlands Stone Circle, 6pm - Gate opens at 5pm. This will be a Welsh Pantheon Rite.
      3. Samhain - November 1, 2003 - Summerlands Stone Circle, 5pm - Gate opens at 4pm. This will be an Irish Pantheon Rite.
