MINUTES
at Bookmans, Tucson, AZ
7 May, 2003

Present were Gannd, Michele, Kirk, Steve and Greenvie.
Minutes. The Minutes of the meeting at Gannd's house on 17 April, 2003 were approved as submitted.
New Business
1. Fundraising
  1. Gannd is still waiting for a response from Francesca on the use of the ADF logo.
  2. Steve and Kirk met with Joanne Van Boozian (the ceramics lady) about the proposed plaques. They produced two drawings of possible plaques. Everyone liked the two concepts but agreed more work is required.
2. SSG Web Site
  1. Gannd pointed out necessary improvements for the web site. Kirk will get the pages corrected.
  2. Gannd requested comments on the Grove's Emergency Response Policy by the next meeting so that he can re-write it.
  3. Gannd also requested everyone to review the Resources page and suggest any additions/corrections/deletions for the page.
Beltane
1. The Ritual went very well. There were 26 people in attendence.
2. Gannd was D1, Kirk D2, Don D3, Greenvie D4, Arlene as Bard, Morgan as Seer, Michele as Warrior and Tissha as Sanctifier.
3. The Omen was the 3 of Pentacles, 4 of Cups and 5 of Staves. Morgan said this meant wealth, love and hard work for the Grove.
4. People felt that they didn't know or understand the myth of Llew and Blodeuedd. Next time we need to explain the myth of the holiday to the people at the pre-ritual briefing.
Midsummer
1. The Celebrants will be:

Full Moon Ritual - 15 May 2003
1. Kirk will write a new ritual for this rite, using Arianrhod as the Patron Deity. This full moon will also be an eclipse of the moon.
2. The purpose of these Full Moon rituals is to give others a chance to practice taking the lead roles.
3. The Celebrants will be:
  1. D1 - Qorinda (Linda)
  2. D2 - Tissha
  3. Seer - Michele
  4. Bard - Greenvie

  1. Beltane - May 1, 2003 - Summerlands Stone Circle, 7pm - Gate opens at 6pm. This will be a Welsh Pantheon Rite.
  2. Summer Solstice - June 21, 2003 - Summerlands Stone Circle, 7pm - Gate opens at 6pm. After the ritual there will be a sleep-over in the circle with an invocation to the Sun at dawn. This will be a Gaulish Pantheon Rite.
  3. Lughnasadh - August 2, 2003 - Summerlands Stone Circle, 7pm - Gate opens at 6pm. This will be an Irish Pantheon Rite.
  4. Autumn Equinox - September 20, 2003 - Summerlands Stone Circle, 6pm - Gate opens at 5pm. This will be a Welsh Pantheon Rite.
  5. Samhain - November 1, 2003 - Summerlands Stone Circle, 5pm - Gate opens at 4pm. This will be an Irish Pantheon Rite.
  6. Winter Solstice - December 20, 2003 - Summerlands Stone Circle, 5pm - Gate opens at 4pm. This will be a Welsh Pantheon Rite.
