MEMBERSHIPS

There are three classes of membership in the Sonoran Sunrise Grove, ADF. Of course, our hope is that all our members will become full Grove members, but the other two categories exist for special circumstances.

We also have compassionate memberships where a person who is temporarily unable to pay for SSG membership can apply to the Grove Executive Committee for a one-year compassionate membership. Contact the SSG Members Advocate.

Voting Members

Voting Members are Full Members who have attended at least 9 Grove events in the past year. Grove events include all rituals, the monthly Grove Outreach meeting, Desert Magic Festival, the Grove Weekend retreat and the Annual Meeting.

Full Members

Full Members are people who are both paid-up members of ADF (and have declared Sonoran Sunrise Grove, ADF as their home Grove) as well as paid-up members of the Grove itself. ADF membership costs $25 a year. Grove membership is an additional $40 a year. We usually renew our Grove memberships at the Annual Sumbel (meeting). For people who join after the Sumbel, the membership cost is usually prorated at $2.08 a month for the months remaining in the year.

National Members

National Members are those people, usually living outside of Tucson, who have joined ADF and declared Sonoran Sunrise Grove as their official home Grove, but who cannot participate in most Grove activities. These members are paid members of ADF but not of the Grove. National Members do not have the right to vote in Grove elections.

Affiliate Members

Affiliate Members are those people who are not members of ADF but who have paid their $40 membership fee to the Grove. While Affiliate Members cannot vote or be Grove officers, they may join Grove Guilds.
