Saturday Morning Blessing Rites

Every Saturday morning (except on High
Days and during Desert Magic Festival) the Grove holds open, public
ritual at the same place
where we hold our High Day rites, in the rose garden of
The MCC Water
of Life Community Church. We make our offerings to the Kindreds
and ask for Their blessings in return. These Blessing Rites begin at 8am

These rituals are held in various
Pantheons, depending on the wishes of the Celebrant assigned to that
particular day. We have held rituals in the Irish, Welsh, Gaulish, Norse
and Hellenic pantheons. These rites are also a Celebrant training ground
for the High Days and a time when new ideas can be tried out
.
Weekly rituals help a Grove unify and
provides a wonderful opportunity for fellowship as well as piety.
HIGH DAY RITUALS
Our Rituals and Ceremonies
are based generally on the ADF standardized format by our
Liturgist and modified per information from the ADF-Liturgist
email lists, general Grove discussion, and final Grove
acceptance. We usually start with the basic Ritual and then
write in our own Invocations as necessary. Lately some of us
have begun to sing our Invocations, trusting that we will be
favored by the powers of Inspiration. As we want to have a
learning Grove, our Grove members perform and learn in the five
basic required positions, Druid 1 (Orator), Druid 2 (Offer-er),
Bard (Music and chant), Seer (Divination) and Warrior (Grove
Protector and Sacred Fire tender). For larger groups, we also
have another Orator, Druid 3, as well as a Sanctifier who censes
the altar icons.
